Recycled Denim.
Instead of sulking in winter depression use the downtime wisely. My most
stylish friend Tiffany bbm'd me a pic of some amazing cut off jean shorts she made and BeDazzled.
To do the same follow these easy steps (Compliments of wiki how):
1. (If you want to change the color) Put a pair of old jeans into a bathtub full of water with
the amount of bleach you desire.
2. Let the jeans soak for about a half hour to an hour. 3. Take the jeans out and throw them in the dryer for about one hour.
4. Use tough scissors
to cut off the legs until you get to your desired length. (Tools like rulers and measuring tape help. Always cut
long then work your way up)
5. Fray the bottom edges and around the sides and the front and back pocket
openings with scissors or a pocket knife.
6. Fray the actual fabric up and down fast and hard to get
a rough look, using sandpaper.
7. Add studs, buttons, patches, or saftey pins for some edge. You
can also add screenprint, paint, and additional fabric too!
If you don't
feel like being crafty clean out your closet. Donate old clothing to a Haiti clothing drive or local shelter.
After all, there are real issues in the world and spring will be here before you know it!

Get Your Sailors Up.
The
cutest fashion movement is back! This spring will have a wave of sailor inspired clothes that will ride into summer.
The key to this look is moderate accessory flare, because without proper placement you could look in costume not in style.
Try pairing cut off jean shorts and a light weight striped sweater with a gold anchor necklace like the one
below. It's simple perfection! If you want to get bold add red lipstick like singer/actress Christina
Aguilera's signature style.
 Clockwise: Halfmeaningless
Gold Club Earrings $20, Alexandra Burke in D&G, Vermeil Large Gold
Anchor Necklace $260, Ray-Ban Plastic Aviator Sunglasses $129, Forever 21
Drama Queen Dream Chain $6.80, Fontanelli Sailor Triple Envelope Shoulder Bag $195, Ralph Lauren
Collection "Fidella" Espadrilles $350.00

West Sideee.
For those of you who don't know, Pier 59 Studios is stationed
along the beautiful Hudson River on the west side of Manhattan. The studio is know for hosting an extensive
list of celebrities and high caliber clientele over the years, which can explain why they went over the top for their 15th
anniversary party Friday, February 12th. It was a little intimidating walking the red carpet in a flannel and Chuck
Taylors but I was accompanied by a group that was dressed down just like me. Surrounding us were models in heels and
skanky club wear to Fern Mallis, creator of Fashion Week, decked out in a beautiful threads. To our
satisfaction we got in with ease but we weren't ready for what was inside. Each room had different photography sets,
one with a large historic polaroid camera, but the one that stood out most was covered in sands. In addition to a sandy
set were baby lions, albino snakes, and musicians playing bongos. Other rooms ranged from antique sets to packed dance
floors, and in each one was a fully stocked open bar. It was my first time at "The Piers", but I'll never
forget the best Fashion Week party ever. Congrats on making it 15 years in this crazy industry.

Just be.
The Diesel and Fader Magazine party was at
Brooklyn Bowl last night. It was a great crowd and I was bowling my ass off. Brooklyn Bowl is
a bowling alley and rock club that guarantees a great time. They served unlimited drinks and food throughout the night
and gave out "Be Stupid" tees in honor of the newest Diesel campaign. If you're not familiar with the "Be
Stupid" campaign Google it. Genius.

We're at The Loom!
Last night The Loom had its opening party and the results were
strange yet brilliant. The space, located on 100 Thames Street in Bushwick, was packed with fashion, art, and a wild
crowd to launch the new multi-storefront and lofts. I encourage everyone to visit the unique space that includes
vintage furniture shops (one with a $20K chandelier) to a yarn cafe. The work of Robyn Donnelly with Half
Meaningless is being displayed in the first room by the main entrance. Also, Closet Envi across
the hall has great pieces for cheap. If you are in the area stop by during visiting hours Monday through Friday 3pm
- 7pm, Saturday and Sunday 11am - 7pm.
